Jerry Donald Lasley, 71, of Springfield, MO, passed away on March 12, 2018 at Point Lookout Nursing Home in Hollister, MO, after suffering Alzheimer’s. Jerry was born on December 19, 1946 in Purdy, MO. He attended Purdy High School, and after graduating, he enrolled at SMSU.
Jerry worked as a salesman for Major Brands, Terminix, and Schendel Pest Tech. Jerry retired in 2010. He earned several work-related awards. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and golfing.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel & Wayne Lasley; one sister, Norma; one son, Timothy. He is survived by his significant other, Shirley Duncan; two sons, Brian (& Lisa), and Jerry; one stepdaughter, Tanya Rust; six grandchildren, Rachel, Abigail, Levi, Chelsea, Hayden, and Allyson; one great-grandchild, Braxton; one brother, Gary; One sister, Betty; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Jerry was such a good man. He will be missed by so many people.
There will be a celebration of life on March 24th, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Grumpy’s Lounge at 3455 S. Campbell at Springfield, MO. There will be food and music. Meat will be provided, but the family has requested that everyone please bring a covered dish. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
