Obituary for Clifford Bohnstedt

Clifford Jr. Bohnstedt of Springfield, Missouri , was born June 26, 1935, and passed away peacefully at 3:30 am, Sunday April 29, at the age of 82, at his home in Springfield.
He joins his only brother, James Bohnstedt in Glory. He was born in Greene County, Mo to Clifford and Viona Bohnstedt. He married his wife of 61 years, Juanita Ruth Gregory on March 20, 1957. She survives him, as do his 3 children, Robert, Cliff, and Karen, his only sister, Stella Bohnstedt, 12 Grandkids, and 30 Great-Grandkids.
In 1953 he followed his brother James and started his own racing career, where he won several championships, becoming a local celebrity. He was inducted into the Ozarks Area Racers Hall of Fame in 2004. He owned and operated two businesses, B&W Auto Salvage and Howard's Auto Salvage, both in Springfield, MO.
He loved racing, hunting, fishing, and playing card games, but most of all he loved his family. He was saved in 1989 and faithfully served his God and Savior Jesus Christ at Galloway Full Gospel Church, in Springfield, MO.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. The funeral service for Clifford will be, Friday, May 4, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with his Pastor John English of Galloway Full Gospel will be officiating.
