Georgianna Stokes, age 97, of Springfield, MO, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in her home. She was born October 24, 1918, in Webster County, MO. to Warner and Cordilla (West) Terry. She was a long-time member of the Pythian Avenue Baptist Church. She and her husband Ova owned and operated Stokes Upholstery for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Patsy Larue and a son Darrell Stokes and her 12 brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughter Wanda Sharp,and her husband Tom of Springfield, MO 5-grandchildren,2-step-grandchildren 6-great-grandchildren, and 2-great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law: Cindy Stokes, Springfield, MO
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, November 27, 2015, at Eastlawn Cemetery, with Mr. Roger Thompson officiating Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before services on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice . Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
