On Thursday, May 21, 2015 James V. Pinson passed from the arms of his loving wife into the arms of his Savior, surrounded by all his children.
He was born June 26, 1937 to James Clayton and Nellie Pinson. Jim married Sharon Lee Bell on October 3, 1966.
Jim worked 24 years as District Manager for Kraft Foods. Retiring at 55, after one year he went back to work for Crumply & Associates. The last years he worked for 66 Auto Auction.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Inell “Neb” Pinson.
Survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon, children, James R. Pinson of Kansas City, MO, Cheryl Smith and husband Quin of Nixa, MO, Carl Smith and wife Carole of Ozark, MO and Melissa Hays and husband Bryan of Springfield, MO. Grandchildren, Halie Pinson, Wes and Bryan Smith and Mallory and Blake Pinson. Two Great-granddaughters. A brother Larry Pinson and wife Bonnie of Arkansas, sister-in-law Evelyn Pinson of Pell City, AL, also a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Pastor Johnny Phifer officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be Monday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Walnut Lawn Church of God.
