Kenneth Leroy Bay died peacefully at Mt. Vernon Veterans’ home on July 28 th, 2015 in Mt. Vernon, MO, at the age of 87. Ken was born on July 1, 1928 in Green Ridge, MO He served in the United States Air Force from 1946-1966, retiring as a MSGT and participating in World War II and the Korean War.
Ken is survived by his wife Lula M. (Beller) Bay, Springfield, MO daughter; Dianne L. (Bay) Moore and her husband Joe K. Moore, Clever, MO, great-grand-daughter Destiny R. Moore, Independence, MO, a sister Wilma (Bay) Hergesheimer, California; a brother; Albert Bay, Arizona: and nieces and nephews. Ken is preceded in death by his mother Minnie M. (Webb) Bay; his father Albert L. Bay; eight brothers and sisters; and his grandson Jason M. Moore.
Graveside Services will be held Monday, August 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Missouri Veterans’ Cemetery; 5201 Southwood Rd. Springfield, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Missouri Chapter; 1630 West Elfindale, Springfield, MO. 65807k
