Louise Shaw, age 86, of Springfield, MO, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Wilson’s Creek. She was born April 14, 1929, in Springfield, MO, to Dailey and Ethel (Nimmo) Young. She was united in marriage to Donald Shaw on July 9, 1949 in Springfield. Louise was the ultimate wife and homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, collecting dolls, and cooking, she will always be remembered for her chocolate cake. The greatest love of her life was her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dailey and Ethel Young. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Shaw, Sr., Springfield; two sons Dan Shaw and wife Stephanie, Springfield and Donald Shaw, Jr. and wife Lana, Springfield; six grandchildren, David, Darren, Ross, Kyle, Bailey, and Evelyn; one great-grandson, Cohen; and a host of family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Eastlawn Cemetery, with Chaplain Mike O’Brein officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
