Maxine Barnett passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Sunday, May 22, 2016; in Springfield, MO. Maxine and her twin brother Max were born May 11, 1926, in Barry County Missouri to the late Byron and Opal Keeling.
Maxine shared many happy memories of her youth on a farm near Wheaton, MO and her 62 year marriage to Harold Barnett who passed away in October, 2007. Maxine was a longtime resident of Springfield, MO and was best known for her love of people and her faith in Jesus Christ.
Maxine is survived by her sister, Margaret Sue Aderhold, and numerous nephews, nieces and their families. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents Byron and Opal Keeling, her husband Harold Barnett, her two brothers Max and Joe Keeling, and her sister Betty Utter.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM on Friday May 27, 2016 with services immediately following at Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfield, MO.
