Willis Eugene Carr 62, of Springfield passed away at 5:25 a.m. August 26, 2014. Willis was born to Lawrence and Versa (Gooch) Carr. He had been a self-employed roofer for many years of his life. Willis loved listening to Cyndi Lauper music, and he loved riding motorcycles, fixing up gocarts and playing basketball with his favorite nephew Matt and niece Angela. To Matt and Angela, he was the world’s greatest uncle. Willis was of the Pentecostal Faith. When he became disabled in 2007, due to a stroke, he never did really get back to life after that. Willis leaves behind brother Arnold his wife Kym, sister Alice, sister-in-law Debby, nephew Matt, niece’s Angela, husband Brian Sr. and Glenda, husband Jason, great niece’s Amara, Justice, and Karman, great-nephew’s Brian Jr. and Blake. Willis has went to be with God and his deceased family, parents Lawrence and Versa, brother Jim, infant sister, niece’s Kerry and Ashley. He will be greatly missed.
