Cheriee D. ( Camp ) Smith, age 55, of Springfield, was singing songs of praise as she met her creator on Thursday, April 26th, 2018 at Mercy Hospital Springfield .
Cheriee was born August 16, 1962 in Springfield, MO to Dub and Geneva Camp. She graduated from Willard High School. She was united in marriage to Lee Smith on December 31, 2012. She worked as the office manager Gold Mountain Communications. She was the ultimate sports mom and grandma, she never missed a game, and enjoyed cheering on her children and grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren were her life. She loved her job and the people she worked with. She will always be remembered as one of the most kind, loving, selfless, courageous, and positive people, you will ever know. She will be missed greatly by everyone that was blessed to know her.
Survivors include her loving husband Lee Smith; two daughters, Amber Highfill and husband Josh, Riley Gates and husband B.J., one son, Connor Cox; one step-son, Brandon Smith and wife Heather; step-daughter, Stacy Moore and husband Cecil; nine grandchildren, Jada, Easton, Trey, Benton, Hudson, Landry, Skylar, Brantley, and Braxton; parents, Dub and Geneva Camp; two sisters, Shelly Price and husband Mike and Rachelle Camp; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents,James and Opal Booth; and paternal grandparents, Willie and Mary Camp.
The family will receive friends from 11am - 1pm, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. A celebration of Cheriee's life will be held Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 at 1:00 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home East 3540 East Seminole Springfield, Missouri 65809.
