Obituary for Janet Lee Skidmore (Barnhouse)

Janet Lee Skidmore 79, of Springfield died June 23, 2018, at her home
in Springfield.
Janet was born August 21, 1938 in Bolivar, Missouri, the daughter of W.H. Barnhouse and Allean (Lunceford)Barnhouse.
Janet grew up in Bolivar and graduated from Bolivar High School in 1956. She was baptized in 1949 at the First Baptist Church in Bolivar.
Janet married John Skidmore in 1979. They were married for 27 years. John preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death of her parents, 3 brothers: Charles, Bill, and Bob Barnhouse and 2 sisters-Doris Blankenship and Rose Matthews. Janet is survived by 2 daughters Jan Hutton and husband Mike
of Tennessee, and Johnna Dandelicht and husband Dana of Lebanon, Missouri; 3 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. 2 sisters – Patsy Hood and Linda Benner, also Angela and Eric Kostron, and Jeanette Livingston were loving and caring neighbors for many years. Many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Greenlawn South, 441 West Battlefield in Springfield
from 10 to 11 am Tuesday, June 26, 2018, followed by a graveside service in Bolivar Greenwood Cemetery.
