Condolence From: David Dodgen
Condolence: Seems like the passing of an era for we who are older and have memories of Robert and the many good times of the past. But such is the way of life. But actually it's just the beginning of life and the fulfillment of God's ultimate purpose of life for all who die in Christ. "For me to live is Christ, but to die is gain. Knowing that while I am at home in the body I am absent from the Lord. But I am willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." Robert's soul has taken its flight at the moment of death. He was immediately in the conscious fellowship and joys of the heavenly experience. He has entered that realm where time doesn't exist. A realm where life is lived in a glorious everlasting present. A realm beyond comprehension. A realm beyond his wildest imagination. A realm where Christ will surprise him for every moment of eternity with His glory and His goodness. A realm that makes the paltry things of earth to which he once clung so tightly pale into insignificance. More alive than what he has ever been. Never to die again, but to live forever in the presence of the supreme being of the universe in a world he couldn't conceive of with eternal blessings beyond imagination. Standing in the presence of Christ blameless and with great joy as he along with his redeemed loved ones who have gone before him await the resurrection and glorification of the body to be joined with their already glorified spirits in heaven. "For the corruptible body must be raised incorruptible." "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." This is the eternal destiny that the agony of the cross has bought for Robert and for each of us who belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. For we who have been called to be His eternal possession, so that the Son might be eternally glorified. Thank you Jesus for the cross and for the resurrection where death was swallowed up in victory. Thank you for Robert and his family and their contribution to the richness of this life.
