Obituary for Wilma Maxine Cline (Stephens)

Wilma Maxine (Stephens) Cline was born on October 24, 1939 in Corona, California and departed this life September 23, 2018, in Springfield, Missouri.

She was one of five children born to Orvil and Hazel Stephens. She was united in marriage to James Cline on June 28, 1958, and retired from General Electric after twenty-two years of service.

Maxine was the quiet supporter to all her family and friends. Her gentle soul would encourage others with a special homemade favorite dessert, handmade quilt, a calm smile, or a tender touch. Maxine worked alongside her husband to be a great provider and homemaker. She always encouraged her children and grandchildren to do the right thing, be true to Christ the Father, and to succeed in life. She served her Lord faithfully and loved her family above all else.

She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband. Maxine is survived by three children and their spouses: Theresa Kai Livingston and husband, Dennis; Douglas Dean Cline and wife, Vicki; and Stephen Ray Cline and wife, Melissa.

She is also survived by four siblings: Gerald Stephens, Catherine Mallernee, Naomi Gray, and Norma Reich, as well as a host of wonderful nieces and nephews. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Clancey Livingston, Codi Cline, Morgan Cline, Schyler Cline, Hannah Cline, and James Cline. Five great grandchildren also survive: Taylor, Hudson, Tyler, Brody, and Oliver.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Convoy of Hope. Friends and family are invited to join the family at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, the 29th of September, at South Haven Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri.
