Nancy Tulak (nee Wells) passed away in her sleep on December 25, 2018 in Springfield MO. She was born January 2, 1933 to Harrison and Willie Wells. She is survived by her five children, Cherylin Smith, Arthur Tulak, Stephen Tulak, William Tulak and Nanette Taylor, her nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband Lawrence H. Tulak.

Nancy attended Greenwood Elementary School, and was a Kiltie while attending Springfield High School. She was an educator with a Master's Degree in Education, specializing in the fields of Special Education an Bilingual and Multilingual Education. Nancy was proficient in Spanish, sign language, and Braille. Nancy taught for two decades in the Los Angeles Unified School, and Seymour MO Districts before returning to her native Springfield in retirement.
Nancy was an avid genealogist, conservationist, and promoter of literacy as a member of the Friends of the Springfield-Greene County Library. She was also a longtime supporter of Greenwood Elementary School. Nancy was a member of the Unity Church since 1970. Services will be provided at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3506 North National, Springfield, MO 65803 on December 31, 2018, at 1 p.m. Floral Arrangements can be sent directly to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
