Glen Louis Thompson Jr., 79, passed away January 6, 2019 at home after a long illness. He was born April 13, 1939 in Good Hope, MO. At an early age his family moved to Springfield, MO where he grew up and spent most of his life. He graduated from Central High School in 1957. He spent most of his adult life working for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. Glen married his wife, Virginia, on September 22, 1967 and had two children Sandra and Marc.

Glen loved sports, especially tennis, baseball and Indian ball, and loved spending his off times playing with his brothers J.D., Wally, Russell, and Tim. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses North Congregation where he was a loyal brother.
Glen was preceded in death by his daughter Sandy; his father Glen Sr. and mother Tressie; siblings J.D., Wally, Lola Kay, and Bobby Joe.
Glen is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia; his son Marc and his wife May, their children Grace, Lilly, and Lucy; his son-in-law Tyrone Ingram; brothers Russell and Tim; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who are too many to mention. Dad’s last days were filled with many memories of his family and friends.
