Obituary for Nancy Lee Wallis

Nancy Lee Wallis 78, Springfield, Mo. passed away Friday, May 10, 2019. She was born on May 27, 1940, in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan. She was retired from Mercy Oncology and Hematology Clinic. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, V.F.W. Post # 3404. She was also a Drury University Graduate. She was an avid collector of sentimental items that she loved to display in her home. Nancy never met a stranger and always made everyone feel important.To Know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Don Jay Wallis Sr., a daughter: Terri Lynne, and a son: Donnie Wayne. She is survived by her three sons:Daniel Dwight Wallis and his wife Cindy, Douglas Don Wallis and his wife, Tonya, and Don Jay Wallis II and his wife, Teresa, six grandchildren: Matthew Ryan Wallis, Melissa Dawn Fuller, Riley Dawne Wallis, Alex Elise Wallis, Caleb Stamey, and Lathie Stamey, one great-grandchild: Myah Dawn Fuller a sister: Elsie Boyes and her husband Herb, and one brother: Glenn LaMothe and his wife, Rhonda. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's or to The Salvation Army.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
