Ola (Coy) Nichols, age 95, Springfield passed away Tuesday, May 14th, 2019 at Mercy Hospital .

Ola was born April 18, 1924 in Sweden, MO to Hardy David and Effie I Coy . Ola was united in marriage to Lowell Edward Nichols on November 20, 1944 in Arlington, WA. She will always be remembered for her cooking, especially her Cinnamon Rolls and Chicken and Noodles. The two most important things in Ola's life was her church and her family.
Survivors include her loving four children, Wendell Edward Nichols and wife Joyce, Lois E. Warneke and husband Alan, William David Nichols and wife Paula, and Leland Ray Nichols and wife Bonnie; seven grandchildren; twenty- six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma Tarbutton; and a host of family and friends. Ola was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lowell Edward Nichols; her parents, Hardy David and Effie I Coy; two sisters; and four brothers.
The family will receive friends from 9-10 am, Friday, May 17, 2019 at Maranatha Chapel. A celebration of Ola's life will be held Friday, May 17th, 2019 at 10:00 am in Maranatha Chapel Springfield, Missouri 65803, with burial to follow at 12 pm in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
