Bill N. Huey, 91, Springfield, Mo. passed away June 5, 2019, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Mo. He was originally from Mt. Home, AR., but made his home and built his legacy here in Springfield, Mo. He was born July 18, 1927 to Shirdon and Frona Huey, and was married to Flossie L. Huey who preceded him in death on October 16, 2012. He worked for the railroad and Dayco before retiring. Bill had many pastimes and hobbies; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and NASCAR. Bill always planted a big garden to share with all, and was happy to do so.

He will always be remembered by his friends and family for his smile, sense of humor, good nature and eagerness to lend a hand to whoever was in need. In his final days he was grateful to see familiar faces and talk about old times.
He is survived by his children, Wilma Jean Crabtree, Neal Cantrell and wife Patsy, and Wayne Huey and wife Pat.. Other survivors are one brother, Burl Huey, and two sisters, Thelma Conroy and Francis Lafferty. Also surviving include grandchildren, Mark Crabtree, Denice Brinkman and husband Scott, Jeff Cantrell, Brandon Huey, and Amy Knox and husband Craig; eleven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Bill had a special friend and companion, Doris Mitchell. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a son-in-law, one granddaughter, two great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation for Bill will be 12 Noon Friday, June 7, 2019, with services following at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
