Obituary for John Robertson

John Robertson, 88, passed away on June 6, 2019 in the Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon MO. John retired from Lily Tulip. John was an MP in the Army. He was in the Korean War. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and a member of The Dade County Beagle Club, loved gardening and cooking.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Whitney), his parents, Arthur and Francis (Lee) Robertson, brother, Jack and sister, Merle Hale. He is survived by children, Lynne (David) Gaddis, Patrick (Annie) Robertson, Carol (Dave) Palmer, Robert (Susan) Robertson, grandson, Bryant Robertson, sister, Margie Bonner and other relatives. Long time friend, Sue Davis and many life long friends.
Special thanks to the staff at Mt. Vernon Veterans Home and Intrepid Hospice with a special thanks to Patty.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Southwest Humane Society.
Visitation for John will be from 5 pm to 7 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Sunday, June 9th with services at 1:00 pm on Monday June 10th. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
