Keith Smith

Keith Smith,
I met Gracie and the Tooley family when I was 3 or 4 years old when she started babysitting my sister and I. It was 50 plus years ago over on Belcrest Street. Gracie, Darrel, Patsy, and Jackie made a life long impression on my sister and I. Gracie loved like a grandmother and we loved her. Darrel would pick his guitar and sing to us, Patsy would take time to play with us and Jackie would take us to the Jiffy Mart on Cherry Street and usually carry one of us on his shoulders. One on of my greatest memories from that time is when Gracie took us to the pro wrestling match at the Shrine Mosque to see her favorite, Gorgeous George. I have loved her all my life and will never forget you all. God bless you and may the Saints go marching in.

Tammy Jenkins

She was the FUN Aunt!
Quick with a smile, hand gestures and a swift beating on your back with her big hugs!
She never met a stranger, always quick with conversation and, "Hey, what's that on your plate? Maybe I'll order that. It looks good!" She loved eating out! Her advise to me on my wedding day?? If you and your husband have an opportunity to go out and do something fun but you have a sink full of dishes...LEAVE the dishes and go have FUN! Fun for her was traveling with Darrell and their friends and family to music shows and festivals where Darrell played bluegrass and country music all over the region.

She enjoyed coming to Kansas City to visit her brothers and always made time to shop for shoes and clothes with her baby sister.
Where ever she was, you can bet laughter was filling the room. She loved being surrounded by family and friends and they loved being around her just as much.

She was and will ALWAYS be...the FUN aunt!

Love, Tammy
