Duane Laramore's life should be admired and emulated. He was "rock solid"in family support, yet he found time for extensive service to his church and community. Duane will be remembered and sorely missed by those of us whose lives he touched. Dillard and Suzy Tinsley

Duane was one of those people whom you could meet once yet be a friend forever. A perfect companion for Phyliss, he was welcomed into our family and never looked back. We will most certainly miss his wit and ability to completely understand even the most complex process.
He could fix almost anything, if given the time and need. I think the challenge of it was more rewarding than the repair itself. Once he knew how to repair the item I think he often went on to the next thing before finishing because in his mind he had already accomplished the job.
This left lots of “things” left undone in his life but he never left people “undone”. That to me is his greatest legacy. All the volunteer efforts, the support groups, church events, and the gentle conversations with everyone he touched. These are the things we remember and talk about now and the things that matter in eternity.
I think Duane knew that as well. All those projects that were never quite done were not a concern, his concern was with items that couldn’t wait. His relationship with Phyliss, his God, family and friends. That’s what we remember today, and he will be greatly missed until we meet again.
