Neal Rodney McInturff, 72, resident of Springfield, MO, went to be with his Lord at 11:52 am Sunday, November 24, 2019 in Mercy hospital.

Neal was born in Casper, WY on November 5, 1947 to Calvin Neal and Dorothy (Sturdevant) McInturff.
He graduated from Central High School in Springfield, MO in 1965.
Neal served his country during the Vietnam war in the United States Air Force. He was a Jet Mechanic advancing through the ranks from Sergeant to Staff Sergeant. He served his first tour April 9, 1966 to January 2, 1969 and a second tour from January 3, 1969 to December 7, 1972.
After the Air Force, Neal was employed by the Medical Center for federal prisoners in April of 1973 until November 1, 1990 where he became owner and operator of two business, Mac’s Small Engine Repair Service and American Trenching Service. He decided to return to the Medical Center for federal prisoners on September 15, 1996 to June 30, 2001 where he retired as a Maintenance Worker Supervisor.
Neal was a Christian and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brookline. He was a Sunday School teacher for many years. He was baptized on May 7, 1989.
Neal married Patricia (Simmons) on April 11, 1990. He has two daughters from a previous marriage and he gained a son from this union.
Neal was a perfectionist and a visionary. He had the ability to fabricate most anything he could think of. Neal had a wide range of knowledge from building construction to machinery with a very high mechanical aptitude. He loved the outdoors. Mowing and working on his property gave him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his father Calvin on March 25, 2010 and his mother Dorothy on October 2, 2006.
Neal is survived by his wife Patricia, two daughters, Melissa Pinion and her husband Paul, Kimberly Spyres and her husband Randy Blaukat and his son Andy Simmons and his wife Briana. Also surviving are his six grandchildren, Allyson, Owyn, Kamea, Elliot, Harper and Elijah; a brother Ronald McInturff and his wife Myrna of Yukon, Oklahoma along with many other family and friends.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Services for neal will be 11:00 am Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Brookline Baptist Church under the care of Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Interment with full military honors will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, December 2, 2019 in the funeral home.
