“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of
winter to give it sweetness.” ― John Steinbeck
Facilitated by Robin Craycroft, LPC NCC & Grace Birdwell
Greenlawn Funeral Home is committed to caring for their families and community before, during, and after the death of a loved one. Our classes are professionally led and cover a wide variety of topics. We aim to help individuals better understand the grief process. Participants in our classes will have opportunities to share their experiences and ask questions in a confidential and supportive environment.
“It is important for families in our community coping with loss to have support and guidance to understand their grief journey. No one needs to feel alone after a life-changing event,” said Jason Diemer, Vice President.
Robin has been a therapist for nine years and helps those struggling with grief, is passionate about guiding individuals and families through grief that honors their loved one and brings a healthy resolution to the troublesome aspects of grief. She also provides individual and family counseling and specialized therapy for depression, anxiety, complicated grief, and PTSD.
“I look forward to welcoming you to our group. It will provide a safe and confidential place to share your grief and together find healing and connection with others,” says Robin, LPC NCC.
Grace is an alumna from Missouri State University, from which she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with a minor in Psychology and Child & Family Development. Additionally, she holds two undergraduate certificates in Medical Humanities and Conflict & Dispute Resolution. She has been working at Greenlawn Funeral Home as their Director of Community Outreach and has a passion for mental health awareness and advocacy in her community.
“The society we live in today is rapidly moving and shifting. However, the need for mental health has stayed the same. Together let’s create a safe place to addresses these needs and try to make small positive impacts through our interactions with others,” says Grace.
Greenlawn strives to make their locations warm and comforting and knows that continuing to facilitate these tougher conversations in a safe environment like our grief seminars is a step towards being involved in all aspects of celebrating life.
