Albert Harrison Sells, 88, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away at Cox Medical Center South on Thursday, April 22, 2021. He was born on October 19, 1932, to Ranzy and Lydia (Lantis) Sells. Harrison was married to Norma Rippee on January 4, 1952. After Norma passed, he married Carol Flick on February 5, 2015, in Greene County.
He was a graduate of Central High School in Springfield. He attended classes at what was then called Southwest Missouri State University. Harrison proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a car salesman and enjoyed his job very much. Harrison was active in many church activities and an Elder at Hillcrest Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed many pastimes that included fishing, camping, football, baseball, music, and Nascar racing.
Harrison is preceded in death by his parents and siblings; his first wife, Norma Sells; his son, Ricky Sells; and his grandson, Daniel Sells. He is survived by his wife, Carol Sells; his children: Thomas Sells (Rhonda) and Rebecca Carr; daughter-in-law, Cathy Sells; step-daughter, Gina Warnock (Kevin); grandchildren:Eric Sells, Connor and Caitlin Warnock, Tiffany (Mike) Browning, Amanda (Ben) McMains, Brian (Pam) Sells, and Stephen Greninger; step-grandchildren, Casey Goslee and Samantha Stacey; several great and great-great grandchildren, and multiple close family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Presbyterian Church at 818 E Norton Road, Springfield, MO 65803 in A. Harrison Sells’ name.
Private family services will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
