Aaron Paul Roberts, 35, of Springfield, MO., passed away September 7, 2018. He was born December 7, 1982 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Darrell and Karen Roberts.
Aaron attended Central High School in Springfield, OTC, and graduated from Drury Law Enforcement Academy in 2013. He has served as a Deputy Sheriff for Greene County for 1 year and had previously served the Willard Police Dept. for 31/2 years. On September 9, 2006, he married Kimberly Stewart at Praise Assembly in Springfield, MO. where they are members. Aaron was Safety Team Director at Praise Assembly and graduated at the top of his class at Drury Law Enforcement Academy. He was a Gun Enthusiast, Gearhead Video Gamer, and Wisecracker.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Erby and Melbus Roberts, Atmore, Alabama, maternal grandfather, Cecil Nickens of Prairieville, Louisiana.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly, 1 daughter, Lydia Rose, his parents, Darrell and Karen (Nickens) Roberts, 1 sister; Michelle Roberts, nieces and nephews; Austin and Claire Carpenter, Olivia and Riley Stewart, Gavin, Callie and Grayson Tompkins, and many cousins. Also surviving are father-in-law, Dale Stewart, mother-in-law, Sue (Calton) Stewart, sister-in-law Emily Tompkins and husband Chris, brother-in-law Matthew Stewart and his wife Jennifer, and maternal grandmother, Barbara Butler Nickens.
Funeral service will be Thursday, September 13, 2018, 2:00pm, at Praise Assembly on North Glenstone. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30pm.
