Aldo A. Consani, age 84, of Springfield, MO, passed away Friday, August 21, 2009. He was born January 11, 1925, in South Range, MI, to John and Edith (Pardi) Consani.
Aldo attended Calumet High School in Michigan. He was united in marriage to Linda L. (Haddan) Consani May 26, 1964 in Miami, OK. He served his country in the army for 2 years and 9 months. He was awarded the Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, Silver and Bronze battle star, 3 overseas service bars, good conduct medal and a purple heart medal.
Aldo worked for Detroit Electrode Hodder Co as a turret lathe drill and press operator in 1942. After discharge from the army he was emplyed by Ex-Cello Corporation in Detroit, MI as a service engineer for 40 years. After retiring from Ex-Cello he was self employeed.
He was a Life Member of the VFW. Aldo loved to fish and was an avid bowler. He also enjoyed working in the yard and being around friends.
His parents, three brothers and one sister precede him in death.
He is survived by wife Linda Lee Consani, Springfield, MO; 6 children: Anita Hellens and husband Paul of Milford, MI., Craig Consani and wife Cindy of Tipp City, Ohio, Keith Consani of Germantown, Maryland, Vonda Consani and parter Lisa Ann Bailey of Kansas City, Mo., Lt. Col. Quint Consani and wife Angela of Colorado Springs, Co., and Sheri Poindexter and husband Mike of Pleasant Hope, Mo.; grandchildren Tracy Saunders, Jason Consani, Nicole Henson, Danielle Champe, Reese Consani, Valarie Poindexter-Topping, Sky Poindexter, Abbey Poindexter, and Alexa Poindexter; great-grandchildren, Nicole Zoomerfeld, Noah and Cooper Blu Henson and Stephanie, Brittany and Sabrina Saunders.
Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 26, 2009, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 1 – 2 PM in the funeral home.

Aldo was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.
