Anna Belle (Angie) Boaz was born June 13, 1940 in Fayette County, Illinois to Daniel Edward and Mary Magdelene (McCain) Boaz. She leaves behind her brother Jim Boaz and sister Delphine Duff, as well as her two sons Jim (wife Sue) and Bob (wife Jan), her five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and other family and friends whom she dearly loved.
She was saved at the Vandalia, IL Christian Church. After her parents died she went to live with her sister and brother-in-law in Key West, FL for two years. After that she moved to St. Ann, MO to live with her brother and sister-in-law, where she joined the Mary Ann Baptist Church. She met Ronald Roth on a blind date, then joined The Overland Church of the Nazarene. She and Ronnie were married on June 28, 1958 and went to live in Kankakee, IL while Ron was in College. They moved then to Bethany, OK where Jimmy was born, then proceeded to move to Broseley, MO when Bobby was one week old, living there for two years. After that they moved to Charleston, MO for two more years. Then to O’Fallon, MO to be Ron’s parents’ pastor. When Jim was in his first year of College they moved to Malden, MO.
At that time Ron resigned to begin his life-long dream of becoming an Evangelist. Jim and Bob were in College together at Mid-America Nazarene College. After holding about 850 revival meetings, Ron retired from Evangelism, while Angie retired as the Pastor’s Secretary at Second Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. She and Ron then traveled together for a few years.
Angie loved to cross-stitch and quilt, she made many quilts for family and friends. She was a lovely musician, playing the piano and singing for the Lord. When Ron resigned from O’Fallon Church, the church told him, “Well you can go Bro Ron, but Angie has to stay.” She was greatly loved wherever they served together.
After several weeks of ill health, on April 22, 2019 Angie passed away at the Springfield Rehab Health Care Center in Springfield, MO. They were married 60 years when God decided to take her to Heaven. Ron is now waiting to meet Angie, The Lord, and The Rapture of the Church just any day.
