Anthony “Tony” John Schreiner, age 53, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away on January 18, 2025, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. Tony was born to Larry and Sharon (Stuckey) Schreiner on July 26, 1971, in Wichita, KS. He was raised near Wichita, KS and graduated from Wichita Heights High School in 1989. Tony would then go on to Kansas University, and graduated from Wichita State University with his bachelor’s degree in business.
As a child, Tony was the typical big brother, pestering his younger sister Angie. He had a love of the Ozarks that stemmed from spending time with his grandparents on Beaver Lake near Eureka Springs, AR. Anthony also enjoyed going to concerts and had a knack for finding ways to meet the bands he would go see. Tony’s greatest passions though, were fishing, golf, and sports. He loved going fishing at the river that ran near his neighborhood. He was a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, but also would cheer on the football team from KU.
Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents John Lawrence and Wanda (Erven) Stuckey of Bolivar, MO and Lorenzo Ira and Grace Phyllis (Sibley) Schreiner; He is survived by his father Larry Schreiner; mother Sharon Schreiner; sister Angela (Angie) and her husband Aaron Fullerton; and two nephews, Kalon and Jake whom he shared a bond over sports with.
A service for Tony will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
