Arthur “Guy” White was reunited with his beloved mother in their Heavenly Home on September 7, 2018, with family at his bedside. Guy was preceded in death by his mother Della Young, Glenn Young, his grandmother, aunt and cousins. Guy is survived by his brother Jay Young, sister-in-law Christine Lawless, niece Audrey Lawless-Young, sister Sharon Young, cousins, and his extended family at Norton Group Home with Arc of the Ozarks. Guy's mother taught the family to always make sure he knew he was loved, and he gave that love back tenfold. Guy resided in the family home for 59 of his 64 years. When Guy's health required more intensive care than his mother and the family could provide he began receiving care at Norton Group Home, where he made many new friends who quickly became a part of his extended family. Guy loved to watch The Wizard of Oz. If there is a world record for how many times one person watched Oz, Guy held that record. He also loved Christmas, birthdays, Country music, Elvis, wearing hats, and most of all he loved people. Guy had a contagious joy that could brighten the darkest day. He was a very brave, loving soul who will be dearly missed. In Guy's 64 years he taught others more lessons than the Scarecrow could count, showed more courage than the Cowardly Lion could ever muster, had a bigger heart than the Tin Man imagined possible, and just like Dorothy he found his way home. Graveside services will be held for family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Season's Hospice or the Arc of the Ozarks.
