Ashley Nicole Marshall was born on March 31, 1990 in Orlando, Fl. She died on September 22, 2015 in Springfield, MO due to complications following a bone marrow transplant. She was 25 years old. If you didn’t know Ashley, we are so sorry. You certainly missed out. If you did, you will never forget her. She lived more life in 25 years than most people do in 80. She followed her heart and did what it told her. Ashley was a free spirit who thought she was born too late and should have been a child of the 60’s. She had a heart for people. She would help someone in need even when it meant she would do without. She loved the holidays and if you were her friend, she considered your birthday one. She loved the sound of water, whether it was an ocean, rain or the bathtub running. She loved painting and crafts. Ashley was a great teacher. We learned so much from her. She was a gift giver with words of wisdom, a shoulder, a hug or a laugh. She spoke her mind. If you didn’t really want an honest answer, Ashley was not the one to ask. If Ashley ever told you that she loved you, she meant it and she never stopped. Ashley lived her life on her own terms. She did it her way. Our girl was a fighter. She beat stage 4, Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer. She wrestled with addiction and she faced off against the auto immune disease, DOCK 8. She was courageous. What a blessing you were to us all. You will be forever in our hearts and minds. Ashley is survived by her father, Derrick Marshall, her step-dad and mom, Dave and Chrislyn Rider, her siblings, Ryan, Josh and Cassidy, her grandparents, Vivian Marshall, Wes and Ruth Ohrenberg, Roger and Ruthella Rider, her caretaker and thunder buddy, Scott Hammontree, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
