Aubrey Guy Cook
Aubrey Guy Cook died at 12:17 a.m., June 24. He was born December 2, 1929, to William and Pearl Cook, in Nixa, Mo. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia; and three children, son Michael and wife, Cindy Cook of Oceano, Calif., daughters, Sheila and husband, Kenneth Luttrell of Republic, Mo., and Pam and husband, Bob Lilly of Richland, Mo. He was Grandpa to nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Theodore Cook, Willard, Mo., and Donald Cook, Ramona, Calif.; sisters, Nona Blevins of Highlandville, Velma Young of Walnut Grove and Lola Gardner of Ash Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leonard, Enos, Earl, Clifford and Efton; and sister Edith Mae Bolin. He was a master painter and detailer for about 60 years. He served as an ordained deacon at many Baptist churches and was a member of South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield. We would like to thank St. John’s Hospital Cancer Center and Hospice Care for their wonderful treatment. Viewing will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home North from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2009. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery, with Dr. Robert A. Lilly officiating.
