Audrey Lorraine (Tibbs) Nothum 81 years old, of Dixon, Missouri, was born on November 13, 1933 in Dixon to Cecil “Brandy” and Mae (Null) Tibbs, and departed us on April 23, 2015.
Audrey married her sweetheart, Robert Nothum Sr. on May 12, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake City temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Audrey enjoyed serving in the LDS Church in Saint Robert, Missouri. She previously attended for many years in Springfield, Missouri. Audrey worked tirelessly for her family and church, but did not seek recognition or glory. She was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother and cherished friend. Her husband and family will remember her for her sense of humor, smile, youthful attitude on life, engaging conversations, Thanksgiving dinners, love of history, fun Easter egg hunts, and so many other wonderful memories impossible to list.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Mae Tibbs and two sisters: Katherine Brant and Betty Buechter, and sons-in-law Jeff Davis and Paul Singleton Jr. Those left to remember Audrey include her husband, Robert Sr., Dixon, MO and their six children– Joyce Nolte (Greg), Springville, UT; Robert Jr. (Lois), Willard, MO; Sandra Davis, Dixon, MO; Kim Singleton Patterson (Joe), Springfield, MO; Margo Elders (Mike), Cuba, MO; and Gayle Moore, Springfield, MO; 23 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren, with two expected in the near future along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Audrey will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2015, at: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 123 Bosa Drive Saint Robert, MO. Interment will follow at the Seaton Cemetery, Dixon, MO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
