Averl Pound, 94, of Shell Knob, Mo, passed away on September 14, 2020 at Aurora Nursing Center.
Averl was born April 13, 1926 in Wellington, KS to Alonzo and Reva Pound. He attended school in Wellington, Kansas. Averl was united in marriage to Charlotte Louise Chapman on January 29, 1983 at First Christian Church, San Diego, CA. Arvel worked for Fox-Viet Drug Wholesale in Wichita, KS, retiring after 31 years of employment.
He is survived by his step- children, Charles Chapman, John Chapman, Christina Johnson, Jim Chapman; 11 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; 1 niece; 1 nephew; and 4 cousins.
He was preceded in death his wife, Charlotte Chapman Pound; sister, Marta Gilmore; parents; and grandparents.
Arvel will be interred with his wife at Riverside National Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
