Betty Ann Reaves, age 78, of Galena, MO, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Cox South Medical Center. She was born August 20, 1936, in Springfield, MO, to Brian and Sara (Adams) Gross. She was united in marriage to Ralph D. (Peewee) Reaves on August 14, 1954 in Springfield, MO. Betty and Ralph owned and operated Reaves Fruit Market in the Springfield area for many years. Betty enjoyed cooking; she will always be remembered for her Apple Pies and Chocolate Cake. She was known to all her family as Aunt Betty.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph (Peewee) Reaves; her parents,Brian and Sara Gross; one brother, Charlie Gross, and two sisters, Dorothy Ray and Shirley Reaves. She is survived by one sister, Thelma Milsap of Springfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2015, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield. Funeral services have been entrusted to Greenlawn North Funeral Home.
