Betty Ann Schlueter 83, Springfield, MO. passed away Monday, May 4, 2020. She was born in Ontario, Oregon, on December 16, 1936, to Henry and Signe Gustafson. Betty was a graduate of Draughon’s Business College. She was the office manager and co-owner for both her husband and son’s businesses. She was a member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church, where in her earlier years she worked as a teacher in the education department and later she loved volunteering for community service projects. In her spare time, she was an avid reader of many different kinds of books.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, her husband, Galen L. Schlueter, in 1996, and her son: Erik Schlueter. She is survived by her daughter: Gail Burnett and her husband, Russell, two sons: Ray H.Schlueter and his wife, Sharon and Ted A. Schlueter and his wife, Elietha, two-step sons: Mike and Rick Schlueter, five grandchildren: Kristopher Burnett and his wife, Heather, Justin Burnett, Alan, Gabriella, and James Schlueter and two step-grandchildren: Nathan and Jacob Schlueter.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2020, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. No public visitation is planned.
