Betty Jo Obrzut was born May 12,1926 to Joseph albert Cook and Mamie Ellen Cook in Strafford Mo. In her home. She passed November 27, 2020.
Betty was raised on shares in Strafford area moving from place to place all her life. When she was 16 she moved to Springfield.
When she was 19 she met Leo Joseph Obrzut at O’Rielly General Army Hospital. They married on May 26, 1946. They were married 13 years and had a baby girl named Mamie Ellen Obrzut 21 months later had another baby girl Tessie jo Obrzut.
Stayed together until Leo passed 28 years ago. Betty was 1 of 8 childern all who have passed. Also first daughter has passed at the age of 22 and 1\2 years.
She is survived by daughter Tessie Ege her husband Terry Ege and grandchildren Jacob Leo Ege, Penelope Jo Ege, Abigail Ann Ege, Elizabeth Lee Ege many cousins ,nieces, nephews.
Graveside services for Betty Jo will be at 1:00 pm Friday, December 4, 2020 at Springfield National Cemetery under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 12:30 pm Friday in the funeral home.
