Betty Lou Rorie Bolin, 74, of Springfield, MO passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. She was born in Rienzi, Mississippi to Leslie and Velma Rorie on November, 1944. Betty married the love of her life, Paul Wayne Bolin on July 29, 1961. Paul and Betty had four children, Mitchell Wayne, Mark Daniel, Paul Kevin and Dana Gayle. Their love for each other grew with each passing day and each passing year.
Betty’s life-long love of gardening and cultivating flowers was only surpassed by her deep and abiding love of God and her family. Over the years, she cultivated a garden and home that was a true haven for her husband, family and all that visited.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Cletis and Loyd and her son, Paul Kevin. She is survived by her husband, Paul, son Mitch and his wife Lanie, son Mark and his wife Brenda and her daughter, Dana, nine grandchildren, Kristyn, Amber, Nichole, Kyle, Kaylee, Megan, Alex, Jordan and Matthew and 22 great-grandchildren with 2 great-grandchildren arriving soon as well as one brother, Lawrence Rorie.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 16, 2019, at 1 p.m with service at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Graveside service following immediately. Family and friends are invited to join the family at Paul and Betty’s home after graveside service for food and conversation.
