Betty Sue Forrest, age 83, of Springfield, MO, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at Ravenwood Assisted Living. She was born July 19, 1931, in Memphis, TN, to Carl and Sue (Crume) McClancy. Betty graduated from Strafford High School. She was united in marriage to to Rev.Farrell Enic Forrest on February 11, 1952 in Arkansas. She was a member of Battlefield Apostolic Church, helping plant her 20th church. Betty enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, especially Christmas Dinners for the family, and working in the yard, her greatest love was serving her Savior by being active in her church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev.Farrell Enic Forrest; parents,Carl and Sue McClancy; three sons, Randy Forrest, Tim Forrest, and Mark Forrest; daughter, Donna Crowl; and a daughter-in-law, Rose Forrest. She is survived by three sons,Farrell Forrest, Jr., Nathan Forrest and wife Vonda of Fordland, David Forrest and wife Michelle of Rogersville, ;one daughter, Shirley Buxton and Gerald of Crestline CA; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Carl Scott McClancy and wife Luella of Springfield; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Memorial contributions may be made to the Battlefield Apostolic Church. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
