Mrs. Beulah “Bea” Irene Scrivener, age 71 of Flemington, MO, passed away December 6, 2009, in her home following a lengthy illness. She was born January 7, 1938, in Maitland, MO, to Clifford and Mabel (Louder) Dicken. She was united in marriage to Dean Scrivener. She was a Blue Bird Leader, involved with the PTA, the Belton JayCee Women, and the AKC of Kansas City.
Her parents; husband Dean Scrivener; a sister Nancy; two brothers: Charles and Bill Dicken precede her in death.
She is survived by five children: Debra Awtrey and husband Alden of Flemington, MO, Sandra Rodkey and husband Jim of Kansas City, MO, Robin Boyston and husband Johnny of Kansas City, MO, Leroy Hails of Flemington, MO, and Mary Hails of Flemington, MO; three step children: Sherry Moore of Peculiar, MO, Robert Scrivener of Harrisonville, MO, and Telicha Johnston of Seatle, WA; 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandson; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 10, 2009, in Pitts Chapel, with Pastor kent Parson officiating. Burial will follow in Payne Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Rodabaugh, Timothy Osborn, Jonathan Hails, Travis Andrist, Joey Monahan, and Brandon Bruns. Visitation will be one hour before service Thursday, December 10th from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, also Wednesday friends and family may call at their own convenience from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM.
