Beverly Jo Shaffer
Beverly Jo Shaffer 75, of Springfield passed away May 17, 2016 at Mercy Hospital. She was born October 21, 1940 to the late Roy and Beulah Wills of Conway Missouri.
She grew up on a farm and attended school in Conway and was active in many school activities. In 1959, she married Rex Shaffer and then they moved to Springfield and started their family. She then began working at St. .John’s Hospital in Springfield in the surgery department in 1975 and retired in August of 1997.
Beverly and Rex enjoyed life to the fullest. From enjoying in the activities and the lives of their children and from bowling leagues and many years building lifetime friends in the Classic Chevy Club of Springfield. Beverly also made new and wonderful friendships by working out at Mercy and then later at the Meyer Center and every Wednesday playing Canasta. She loved her family and friends so much.
Beverly is now with her husband Rex and she is survived by her Children LaDonna and Kent and their families. We love you so very much.
Visitation will be Saturday June 4th from 1:00 to 3:00 and a Celebration of life at 3:00.
