“Bill” left a daughter, Linitta Sutton-Young and son-in-law, Trey Young of Hurley, Missouri; a grandson, Travis Young and wife, Ginger Young of Flower Mound, Texas; a grandson, Dallas Young and wife, Tara Young of St. Louis, Missouri; and a granddaughter, Savannah Young-Seibert of Springfield, Missouri. Bill was great-grandfather to Jonathon Young and David Young of Flower Mound, Texas; and two great-granddaughters, Harper Seibert and Afton Seibert of Springfield, Missouri. Bill’s wife, Kathleen Sutton, mother, Isabella Sutton, father, Eugene Sutton, and brother, Larry Sutton preceded him in death.
Bill spent much of his life in Springfield and Branson, Missouri. He left behind many friends who loved him dearly. As “the ole woodcutter” at the theme park Silver Dollar City, Bill made friends from around the world. Some of the visitors returned to the park year after year to visit Bill and watch him work at his craft. He was a very talented artist and businessman. His artwork lives in many homes around the world. Bill had a friendly personality that gave people the feeling that they had been friends forever. The last few years of his life, he lived in Hurley, Missouri with his daughter and son-in-law as his health was declining. He will be missed by friends there as well.
Bill served his country in the Air Force, stationed in Manchester, England during the Korean War. He wore the uniform proudly and was honored to be an Air Force veteran.
All who knew him will miss him.
