William (Billy) Davis Jones, 59, went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2020. He was born December 1, 1960 in Springfield, MO to Betty (Morgan) and Everet (Casey) Jones. Billy was a part of the 1978 graduating class of Central High School and was united in marriage with Lisa (Snyder) on September 15, 1990. He lived together with his family in Fair Grove, MO and attended Crossway Baptist Church in Springfield.
A loving and devoted husband, father and Grampy, Billy was often wherever you found his grandkids—whether watching movies, playing games or just being together. He enjoyed being outdoors and camping, fishing or hunting. He was always quick to lend a hand, help wherever needed and never asked for anything in return. He was very well known for his big, quiet heart. Since 1982, Billy took extreme pride in his work in auto upholstery, most recently at First Class Customs in Springfield.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents and stepdad, Scotty Lipe.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa (Snyder) and four sons: BJ Jones and wife Jana of Springfield, Dustin Johnson and wife Hannah of Springfield, Brandon Hirayama and wife Gina of Fair Grove, Korey Johnson and wife Holley of Fair Grove; eight grandchildren: Reagan, Nolan, Logan, Natalie, Gemma, Tegan, Brantley and Carter; four sisters: Terry Mayfield of Gainesville, TX, Sheila Hendricks and husband Aaron of Junction City, KS, Donna Crumpler and husband Carey of Sanger, TX, and Pam Lutz of Springfield; and three brothers: Kelly Jones of Marshfield, Chris Jones and wife Tracy of Jourdanton, TX, and Brian Towry and wife Sarah of Fair Grove and a host of nieces, nephew, family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Crossway Baptist Church with burial to follow at Bass Chapel Cemetery in Strafford, MO. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
