Billy James Bass, 33, passed away on July 5, 2019. Born in Springfield, MO on June 12, 1986 to James “Jim” Bass and Deborah “Debbie” Baker.

Billy was an avid outdoorsman, spending nearly every free moment in the woods. He would light up when the conversation turned to turkey, deer, or morel hunting and loved to set a hook at just the right moment.

If he wasn't walking the woods for a prime hunting spot, he was riding through the trees on his dirt bike. Locking bars with his friends was a favorite past time.

Above all, Billy was a doting father. His mission in life was to raise his children to be hard working conservationists, and in the short time he was here, he planted the seeds in their hearts. He will be sorely missed.

Billy was preceded in death by a daughter, Mia. He is survived by his father, Jim Bass and wife Elaine, of Springfield; his mother, Debbie Baker and husband Tommy, of Elkland; daughter Zaira, son Billy, and daughter Paisley, along with Paisley's brother, Brady; brothers Corey Lowry, Joel Baker, and Cory Baker, and sister Kaylee Peterson; Grandmother Martha Smith; and a great many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Rest Easy, Billy. You are loved.
Memorial Services will be at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. before the services at the funeral home.
