Mr. Blaine Asby, age 43, of Halfway, MO, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009, at his home. He was born August 24, 1965, in Coos Bay, OR, to Jerald and Joan (Cribbs) Zimmerman. He attended Bolivar First Assembly of God Church.
His parents; a son Bradley Barker Zimmerman; and his grandmother Ethel Cribbs precede him in death.
He is survived by three daughters: Courtney Barker Zimmerman of Kansas City, MO, Miranda VanNice of Battlefield, MO, and Nicole Asby of Pleasant Hope, MO; one grandson Dylan Asby Vasquez; his fiance Penny Griffith of Halfway, MO; a sister Kim Zimmerman of Bolivar, MO; his second wife Rhea Asby of Pleasant Hope, MO; his adoptive parents Wayne and Carla Asby of Halfway, MO; three foster brothers: Keith Asby and his wife Cari of Nixa, MO, Dean Asby of Republic, MO, and Olen Asby of Halfway, MO; as well as many other relatives and friends.
According to Blaine’s wishes his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 1, 2009, in the Countryside Assembly of God Church, 2921 S. Morrisville Road Bolivar, MO, with Pastor Gray Nordan and Bro. Danny Cross officiating. His cremated remains will be inurned next to his biological mother Joan Zimmerman in the Brighton Cemetery Brighton, MO, and also scattered on the Asby Family farm in Halfway, MO, at his request.
