Tommy, age 60, passed away suddenly in his sleep on Sunday September 4, 2016.
He is survived by his wife Lisa, son Chad, soon-to-be daughter-in-law Heather, step-daughters Brandi and Lea, grandchildren Zoey, Sophie, Marcus, Mackenzie, and Phoenix and countless more friends.
Tom worked at Reliable Chevrolet as an automotive technician for 32 years before opening his own shop T & B Auto, which he has owned for 7 years.
Tom loved his family and friends. He loved his Harley and any day good enough for a ride. He loved to party and have a great time. His favorite saying was “This is the first time I’ve ever had a good time.” He was always smiling and able to make everyone laugh. In the words of one of his closest friends he was a “Hard-headed, kind-hearted, do-anything-for-you kind a guy”. He will be greatly missed by all those fortunate enough to know him.
Feel free to ride and show Tommy your bike one last time. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Clio Cemetery near Jenkins, Missouri.

Tom was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and I have had many conversations and laughs with him to say he will be missed is surely an understatement Rest In Peace old friend hope your at peace you left this earth to early but left a hell of a legacy behind

I wanted to express heartfelt condolences to Tommy’s family. There’s such a sense of helplessness when someone we love dies. I’d like to share some scriptural thoughts that really helped me. Prayer is so valuable at a time like this, but its not that prayer simply makes us feel better. 2 Cor. 4:7 says that God can give us, “…power beyond what is normal “, to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget, but it means we recover. The reason we recover is because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28, “…all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out”. Jesus was referring to the resurrection: this is our hope that helps us recover and gives us power to go on. Meditating on this promise can deeply affect our emotions and give us peace. 2 Cor. 1:3 describes our Creator as, “…the God of all comfort “. One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May God (Ps. 83:18) grant you peace and comfort now during this time of sorrow.

I’m so sorry for your loss, and send my condolences. This is one of the hardest times in a family’s life, always know that others care. Most important God cares. He has promised a time when he will “swallow up death forever and he will wipe the tears from all faces.” (Isaiah 25:8) Praying for your family, and praying you will find comfort in this promise.

We would like to send our heartfelt condolences to Lisa and the rest of Tommy’s family. We love him and will miss him! He was a kind soul and was always willing to lend a hand or a strong shoulder to those he cared for.

This makes me sad. Just saw him on Thursday when we picked up our car. Genuine guy, glad I got to work with him for awhile at Reliable & that he was my mechanic for the last 6 years. Will miss him.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Our deepest sympathy to Tommy’s family. He was always so kind to us at the shop and took extra care of our daughter when she needed repairs.
