Carl Eugene Cantwell
Passed away January 1, 2019. Born April 13, 1931 to Everett and Ethyl Cantwell at Noble, MO.
On December 4, 1971, Carl married Harriett Elizabeth Jennings and they enjoyed a wonderful life together for 36 years. Carl loved the outdoors all his life. He loved to hunt and fish and was well known throughout the Midwest for his competitive skeet shooting. He won the Mo State championship in the 12 gauge one year and the 20 gauge the following year. Carl was a Veteran of the Korean war, and a long time member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Harriett, both Parents, brother Floyd Arthur Cantwell, Sisters Bonnie Reid and Maxine Grote, and Son Stephen Michael Cantwell. He is survived by his sister Jeanette Loveland of Little Rock, AR; Children Carol Garrison (Russ) of Ozark, MO; Scott Cantwell of Springfield, MO; Linda Harnden (Don) of Leander, TX; David Cantwell (Tonya)of Hurley, MO; Mark Cantwell (Robin) of Hurley, MO.
Carl is also survived by 10 grand-children: Lt. Col Matt Garrison of Honolulu, HI; Jon Garrison of Springfield, MO; Jeremy Garrison (Angela) of Rogersville, MO; Erin Bilyeu (Travis) of Rogersville, MO; Brian Kutz of Austin, TX; Staff Sgt Allie Savich (Justin) of Springfield, MO; Airman Sam Cantwell (Cat) of Palmdale, CA; Ricky Fredrickson of Hurley, MO; Justin Cantwell (Chelsea) of Republic, MO, and Austin Cantwell of Hurley, MO, along with 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, 3506 N National, Springfield, MO. with burial to follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 to 3:00 PM. before the services.
