Carleen Ellen Rhodes, age 43, of Springfield passed away Sunday, June 7th, 2020.

Carleen was born September 12, 1976 in Springfield Missouri to Thomas and Carleen Rhodes. Carleen was a graduate of Glendale High School. She loved shopping, watching movies, talking on the phone , and spending time with her family and friends and the dogs.

Survivors include her parents, Thomas and Carleen Rhodes; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A visitation celebrating Carleen’s life will be from 6-8 pm, Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South.

Carleen and Rocky, We're very sorry for your loss. The loss of a child has to be one of the toughest things to handle. Carleen had a smile on her face and loved to talk. We won't be able to make it to the visitation on Thursday. I put the obituary and her photo on the Harley/Pippin Reunion site.

So sorry about Carleen's passing. The death of our child is a heavy grief. Please know you are in my heart and my thoughts.

I'm truly sorry for your loss and I wish I could be there. I worked with Carleen for almost 2 years. I can still here her greeting me whenever she would see me "Hey pretty lady" or "Jerrica, you turkey". We spent countless hours playing games, watching and talking about ncis and night rider, listening to Elvis, and talking about shopping. Carleen was a really great person and friend. She will be missed dearly. Love and light my dear, until we meet again.

We will never forget you. I can still hear your voice in my head on one of our last conversations. I know you are in heaven watching over us. You are now free from all the hurt and pain in this world. Until we meet again my dear.

Fly high with those new Angel wings Princess! Wheelchairs don’t go to heaven with you?

I took care of carleen for about 6 months and the first day I met her I knew we would be great friends. She was sweet, kind and so sassy. I loved everyday going into her house and seeing her smiling face as she said “well hello pretty lady”. I could talk to her about anything just like she knew she could talk to me about anything. After I left, we still kept in contact and I would expect to see her call me at least three to four times a week. It was always nice knowing she still wanted to keep in touch. When I heard the news my heart broke. Not just for me but her family too. To her family: I am so so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for each and everyone of you. I’m so sad I won’t be able to make it since I am now 10 hours away but I’ll forever keep her in my heart and I’ll be praying for you all.

So sorry Carleen to hear about your beautiful daughter passing. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

So sorry. Wish there was something I could do or say to help ease the pain. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Carleen was a beautiful soul. She may be with God now, but she will never be forgotten.
