She is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Flynn and Rosemary (Allard) Rennick, stepfather Gordon Rennick of 13 years, husband Donald Cagle of 35 years, great-grandson Julian Moss, brothers-in-law Guy Hill and Jerry (CJ) Wilder, sister-in-law Bess Wilder, nephew-in-law Mitchell Hill and great-grandniece Emmalynn Hair.
Carole leaves behind her children Wayne (MaryAnn) Cagle from Dallas, TX, Peggy (Jim) Francka from Halfway, MO, and Kathy Bloss from Ithaca NY. She was known as “Nana“ to eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her companion of 23 years, John (Jack) Early.
Carole loved people and had many dear friends throughout her lifetime. She loved dancing, singing, traveling, going to Broadway shows, and especially visiting nursing homes. Carole cherished her regular “girls night out” with dear friends. She was a military wife for over 20 years and was involved in church, banking, and real estate. Before retirement, she worked at a senior citizen center in Hazelton, PA where she lived for 43 years. She resided in Halfway, MO for the past year and worshiped at and was a member of Queen of All Saints in Springfield MO. Carole will be sorely missed by all.
The visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21st at Pitts Chapel of Greenlawn Funeral Homes: 316 E. Broadway St, Bolivar, MO 65613 preceded by a Holy Rosary service at 5:30 p.m., and a time of remembrance starting at 7:30 p.m. A Requiem Mass for the Dead will be held at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 1505 W. Atlantic St, Springfield, MO 65803, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 22nd with the Rite of Committal and burial immediately following at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, State Hwy U, Bolivar, MO 65613.
