Carolyn Nan Cox passed away Saturday, October 27th at the age of 74. She was a lifelong resident of Blue Eye, AR where she lived on the Cox homestead for over 54 years. She was married to Booker Cox Jr, on June 25, 1963. A true love story, they met at church and were happily married for 50 years. They raised two boys, Booker & Todd, on the family farm. She took interest in whatever her husband was doing from cattle to flying, she received her pilots license in her late twenties.
Carolyn Cox was born on December 13, 1943 to Eugene & Fern Huskey. She grew up in Blue Eye, Arkansas and attended college in Springfield, Mo. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend.
Carolyn worked in sales in the Branson area for many years. She was energetic and outgoing, and known for her work ethic. She was always “dressed to the nines”, whether she was out with friends or clearing fence rows on the farm. Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of life-long friendships and cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember this tiny blonde spitfire who lived life at top speed.
Carolyn is survived by her 2 sons, Booker Cox III and his wife Dana, of Oak Grove, AR, and Todd Cox and his wife Nicole, of Bella Vista, AR, her twin sister, Marilyn Kaneaster and her husband Jim, of Branson, MO, and one brother, Mike Huskey and his wife Suki of Oak Grove, AR, along with a host of other family members. She was proceeded in death by her husband Booker Cox and her mother and father, Eugene & Fern Huskey, and her nephew Larry Kaneaster.
Services are scheduled for Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church in Branson, MO.
