Mrs. Carolyn L. Lightfoot, age 77 of Polk, MO, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Citizens Memorial Hospital Bolivar, MO, surrounded by her family. She was born March 26, 1941, at home in Southern Stone County, MO, to James Kenneth and Reta Mae (Baker) Kimberling. She was united in marriage to O.E. Gene Lightfoot September 2, 1961, in Miami, OK, and to this union four children were born. She was saved as a young lady in Fair Grove, MO, was a member of Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church Polk, MO. Carolyn was a good and loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Carl Wayne Wilken; her second husband Gene Lightfoot; a daughter Shelly Lightfoot; a son Oral Lightfoot, Jr.; two sisters: Faye Nunn, and Sharon McGinnis; and two brothers: James “Jimmy”, and Wayne Kimberling.
She is survived by a son and daughter: Carl “Tony” Wilken and wife Debbie of Urbana, MO, and Sheila Shaff and husband Dan of Pittsburg, MO; 11 grandchildren: Carl, Chris, Beverly, Rebecca, Christine, Zack, Anna, Chelsea, Candace, Colleen, and Carl “CJ”; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, March 29, 2019, at Pitts Chapel. Burial will follow at Payne Cemetery Polk, MO.
