Charles Leon White 86, Macks Creek, MO. passed away February 6, 2021, in his home, after a long illness. He was born in Springfield, MO. on March 1, 1934, to Joseph and Beulah (Finley) White. He was a retired owner and operator of White’s Garage and Body Shop, in Springfield, Mo. Charles was the founder and member of The Springfield, MO. Model T Club and a member of The Model T Club of America. He loved building antique cars. In his spare time, he was an avid turkey hunter, and Charles loved hunting and fishing.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patsy Pendergraph, and three brothers: Joseph, George, and Teddy White. He is survived by his wife, Georgia White, three daughters: Leona Elwood and her husband, Scott, Judi White, and her husband, Allen, and Charlena Campbell and her husband, Dennis, one son, Charles White Jr. his favorite grand-daughter: Lacy Marie Elwood, as well as eight other grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. No viewing or visitation is planned.
